What a Moment for Hearing Accessibility
Wow, what a GIGANTIC week for Auracast! My mind is still spinning by the flurry of new product introductions by the Big Five hearing aid manufacturers, as we have now reached the moment where all of them have launched Auracast-enabled hearing aids. It was inevitable this moment would come, but to have come this early in the year is remarkable, and a tremendous show of force for Auracast. As a global standard that is manufacturer-agnostic, Auracast simplifies hearing accessibility, making it just as easy for someone in Japan to connect their hearing aids as it is for someone in South Africa or Portugal.
Oh, and then Andrew Bellavia shared that the famous outdoor concert venue in the North Suburbs of Chicago, Ravinia, now has Auracast. What a moment for hearing accessibility!
The venues we work with don't make headlines when they purchase a Simeon Audita III offering Auracast to their attendees, but those venues are no less important to the world of hearing accessibility. Libraries, classrooms, community centers, retirement complexes, houses-of-worship, multi-purpose rooms, yoga studios . . . all are important spaces where people gather to learn, inspire and communicate with each other.
Let's take this moment and appreciate how close we are to the inflection point where, just like Bluetooth a decade ago, everyone will soon be connecting their hearing aids, cochlear implants, ear buds and headphones to Auracast in a variety of public spaces.
