Groundbreaking demonstration paves the way. The Auracast audio broadcast technology was tested in a theater in Oslo recently. The aim with the technology was to enhance the auditory experience for hearing aid users in public spaces like theaters. So how did it go?

OSLO, NORWAY

We are excited to share our second Easter egg for April!

This video below was filmed and curated by Resound in Norway.

In keeping with the theme of inclusivity, both in and out of the workplace, we wanted to highlight inclusivity in relation to activities in the entertainment industry.

Today’s Easter egg brings us to Oslo, the capital of Norway. Resound took on a supportive hearing project at Centralteatret, a well-reviewed live theatre in the city center of Oslo. Theatres, of any kind, often face unsold seats for various reasons. One reason in particular is how individuals with different degrees of hearing loss or hearing health issues process audio compared to their counterparts without hearing health issues. When a venue’s audio equipment isn’t advanced enough to include modern solutions, it can result in financial loss and the exclusion of guests. One modern solution is upgrading audio equipment in venues to be Auracast-enabled.

Centralteatret; is a theatre on Akersgata, in the city centre of Oslo, Norway. Centralteatret was established by the husband-and-wife acting team of Johan Fahlstrøm and Alma Fahlstrøm, in 1897. Wikipedia
